    Short Description

    Briefly explain the job’s overall objective:

    Responsible for ensuring that all employees have access to vital business information and knowledge.

    Works with IT and non-IT business units and project managers to identify the organization’s technological and business strengths, establish data systems that leverage and capitalize on these strengths, and find ways to maximize opportunities and improve business processes/decisions.

    Coordinates with technology and information users to create a knowledge management strategy and structure for knowledge availability.

    Identifies best practices throughout organization and communicates/implements these practices.

    Provides overall technical and financial direction to the knowledge management function. Develops controls, budgets and measurements to monitor progress.

    Works in a data warehouse environment which includes data design, database architecture, metadata and repository creation.

    Responsible for leading data warehouse team in development and enhancements of the data warehouse user interface.

    Creates new standards and procedures related to end user and internal interface development.

    Works with Senior Data Architect on technical issues and system architecture definition.

    Translates high-level work plans and converts to detailed assignments for team members.

    Monitors status of assignments and reviews work for completion/quality.

    JOB SUMMARY

    Serves as project manager of a development team responsible for planning, developing, and deploying web sites including preparation of text, graphics, audio and video for intranet web pages.

    Works directly with partners and clients to determine project scope and specifications.

    Coordinates the work of design and development teams to implement online designs.

    Reviews progress, manages resources and ensures overall quality of completed web pages.

    Monitors industry trends and identifies relevant emerging technologies; participates in user groups and industry associations.

    Works with VP of Strategic Planning to develop reports and dashboards to report to executive and other management on key performance metrics.

    Recommends and executes improvement opportunities to streamline the delivery and increase the quality of existing and new business intelligence solutions.

    Provides production support to existing business intelligence infrastructure.

    Looks externally to find best practices in other companies and industries to translate to Cooper business intelligence.

    Works independently in a fast-paced environment to drive business intelligence requirements to reality.

    Manages Budget / Requisitioning / Contracts for BI and BI applications.

    Manages Time & Attendance for BI staff.

    Facilitator for the Precision.BI application including training for both BI data marts.

    Inspires growth and develops knowledge base in BI staff for effective management.

    Perform presentations of information.

    Also vastly manage the creation, and at times schedule, Hospital and/or Physician operational and functional reporting requests – including research project requests.


    Experience Required

    ● 5 years experience with MS SQL and ad hoc, query-based, and/or OLAP technologies.
    ● Knowledge of project methodology and experience in project management.
    ● Strong querying/data mining skills.
    ● Proficient in data modeling, dimensional modeling and relational data modeling.
    ● Proficient in data mart and data warehouse design and implementation.
    ● Strong leadership skills in previous management positions, project management or project lead
    positions.
    ● Excellent conceptual thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Education Requirements

    Masters degree in computer science or related field.
