Cardiology Director leads and directs the staff and programs of the cardiology department. Works closely with hospital staff and physicians to implement standards for patient care that comply with all laws and regulations. Being a Cardiology Director ensures the department meets the current needs and addresses the future needs of patients by introducing new technologies, services, and procedures. This position does not require MD. Additionally, Cardiology Director requires a master's degree. Typically reports to an executive. The Cardiology Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Cardiology Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     This position plays a key role in the success of the organization in regard to assuring access for patient care and direct supervision of non-clinical staff. Supervisor has oversight of day to day clinic operations supporting efficient patient care. This position supports the work of the clinic manager and medical director in improving patient satisfaction, complaint resolution, and clinic performance in meeting organizational and regional goals.

    Required qualifications:

    • Coursework/Training: Business College or office management training Or equivalent educ/experience
    • Progressively responsible experience in a medical office or a combination of relevant education and directly related work experience
    • Previous experience managing staff
    • Experience, education or training in medical records management and regulations, to include HIPAA.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Associate's Degree in Medical Office or Business Administration, or other relevant field Or
    • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Office or Business Administration, or other relevant field
