We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Career Camp Counselors. As a Camp Counselor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and create memorable experiences in a fun and safe camp environment.
Job Summary: The Career Camp Counselor is responsible for leading campers in activities that will prepare them for transition to post-secondary education, training, and/or employment. Career Camp includes, but is not limited to, field trips, physical activities, daily living skills, skill achievement, health and safety topics.
Responsibilities:
· Works with campers, co-workers and supervisor to develop an understanding of the unique strengths and needs of each camper.
· Facilitates activities provided within the approved curriculum.
· Arrives on time and adheres to a punctual work schedule.
· Responsible for the assigned group of campers each day.
· Safely transports campers by adhering to HPSs’ transportation policy and procedures.
· Completes all paperwork, and assigned tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
· Models appropriate behavior at all times.
· Provides guidance and support to campers, promoting positive behavior and conflict resolution.
· Communicate with parents/guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns.
· Other tasks as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
· Adheres to all privacy, security and confidentiality policies of the agency including HIPPA standards.
· Adhere to established safety procedures and practices in your working environment.
· Attends staff meetings, in-service education and ongoing trainings as required.
· Provide and maintain reliable transportation for on‑the‑job travel requirements.
· Support the department and agency in the implementation and accomplishment of its mission.
