Installs, fixes, or modifies all aspects of a building, including walls, ceilings, floors, and stairs, as well as related structures like railings, doors, windows, and air conditioning systems. Being a Carpenter follows blueprints and plans to ensure requirements and specifications are met. Observes all worksite safety procedures and guidelines. Additionally, Carpenter inspects buildings to determine repair that needs to be done. An apprenticeship and/or formal training may be required. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Carpenter works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Superior Skilled Trades is seeking carpenters to join our team for an exciting project in Reno, NV.
PAY: $24-28/hour
Hours: 50 hours/week
Duration: 3 months
Start: ASAP
NOTE: Scissor/Boom Lift Training Required
Carpenter Responsibilities:
- Will primarily be building shelves/racks in warehouse setting - Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials - Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes - Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding - Follow blueprints and building plans to meet client specifications - Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures - Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete tasks - Collaborate with other carpenters and construction team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Carpenter Requirements:
- Proven experience as a carpenter - Proficient in stucco, cabinet installation, plaster, trim carpentry, fixture installation, door hanging, and other relevant skills - Ability to read blueprints and follow technical drawings - Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity - Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods of time - Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
