Vanchlor Company Inc. is a leading manufacturer of Anhydrous Aluminum Chloride serving the Pharmaceutical and Technical industries and is currently seeking knowledgeable and self-motivated individuals for our Lockport, NY facility.
Essential Job Duties
· Ability to follow all safety and environmental regulations as well as company-imposed policies and procedures
· Monitor process equipment at all times, regulate temperatures and the flow of chemicals through the process
· Follow all standard operating procedures for the process and associated equipment
· Maintain logs and readings
· Perform minor maintenance on process equipment
· Initiate detailed work orders and prepare equipment for any needed maintenance work
· Immediately notify management of any malfunctions in equipment or process
· Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
· High School Diploma or completed GED
· Must possess a valid driver’s license
· Must have reliable transportation
· One to two years relevant experience in chemical operations or maintenance. Willing to train the right candidate.
· Proficiency in reading comprehension and basic math with strong troubleshooting/problem solving skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team
· Possess good written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work an 8-hour rotating shift: days, afternoons, and midnights to include weekends and holidays
· Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of an air purifying respirator
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, and stooping is also required
· Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check and employment physical
Benefits
· Starting pay rate of $25.00/hr. Pay increase to $26.00/hr. after successful training and probation period.
