Chemist evaluates the chemical and physical properties of various organic and inorganic substances. Utilizes established methods and procedures and laboratory equipment to perform analytical testing of substances. Being a Chemist prepares compounds, reagents and solutions. Develop and write technical reports of testing results. Additionally, Chemist requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Small laboratory with 30 years of history is seeking qualified applicants for two chemist openings.
8 - 5 weekdays opening for self reliant, min 3 years experienced chemists. Minimum associate degree in chemistry or related field is required.
As the laboratories are state regulated, the applicant must have working experience with TNI 2016 and ISO 17025 requirements, and must be able to pass FBI background checks. Applicant must be able to pass drug tests requirements as well.
Must have been working with EPA and Standard Methods for wet chemistry, metals and microbiology and organic chemistry.
As we are a fun loving, hard working group. We value hard work, following regulation and providing on-time and accurate results to our customers. We are all for safety. As we are small, we are flexible with working arrangements, earlier or later start.
Must have expertise to run, evaluate and troubleshoot GC/MS, IC, TOC, ICP/MS, rt-PCR, HPLC, HPLC/MS/MS equipment.
Salary dependent upon relevant experience and ability to pass performance and written tests of methods practiced.
References are requested at the time of interview.
