The Chief Health and Wellness Officer (CHWO) serves as Vice-President of Health Services, as a member of the Executive Team, and works closely with the President/CEO and the Vice-President/CFO to ensure that Arbor Acres at all times fulfills its mission at the highest level possible for those it serves. The CHWO holds direct responsibility for and provides leadership to all medical services, nursing care, therapy, home care, pharmacy, and continuing care programs/services available to residents. The CHWO provides oversight to and is accountable for compliance with all health and wellness related services and is responsible for supporting, coaching and holding direct reports responsible for achieving overall service excellence and the highest possible quality of life in all areas of the community.

The CHWO’s primary job is ensure the development and consistent implementation of processes and strategies to ensure that all residents in the community have access to, and benefit from, a seamless continuation of care regardless of where those services originate. As a result, the position requires the development of relationships with key health and wellness partners in local health and wellness institutions. Additionally, the CHWO is responsible for developing a proactive vision of how technology, clinical practice, programmatic adjustments and research can improve the lives of those we serve.
