Claims Analyst analyzes and reviews insurance claims for accuracy, completeness, and eligibility. Reviews claims for eligibility to be reimbursed. Being a Claims Analyst maintains updated records and prepares required documentation. Assists in controlling the cost of processing claims. Additionally, Claims Analyst contacts policyholders about claims and may provide information regarding the amount of benefits. May require a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Claims Analyst gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Overview

    Come grow with us by joining our team as a Warranty Claims Analyst!  In this role, you will play a critical role for the company and will work alongside other professionals within the team and other departments. The Warranty Claims Analyst should be highly organized, exhibit technical proficiency and the ability to communicate well with manufactures, vendors, customers and shop personnel and process warranty claims in a timely manner. This position requires thorough knowledge of the Company’s policies and procedures. The Warranty Claims Analyst is an intermediary between the Warranty Administrators and the manufacturer assuring the warranty process is fluent and the warranty payments are received from the manufacturer timely.

    Responsibilities

    Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

    • Obtain prior approvals for all warranty claims with various manufacturers.
    • Maintaining line of communication with all Warranty Administrators to obtain claim details for proper filling of warranty claims with manufactures.
    • Process and collect warranty claims with various manufacturers.
    • Verify repair procedure are properly documented; all parts match the story and process claim per manufacturers’ guidelines.
    • Communicate with management on all aspects of warranty department workflow, customer, and vendor and manufacturer issues.
    • Process a large volume of warranty claims through various manufacture portals.
    • Follow up with manufacture warranty personnel on warranty claim payments, short pays, denials.
    • Conduct data analytics activities to build report outs to deliver to upper management.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    • Associates degree or higher preferred
    • 1-5 ears warranty experience
    • Understanding of the operation of the service and parts departments and the support of the sales and interaction with the administrative/accounting department
    • Able to communicate effectively with equipment manufactures
    • Able to multi-task
    • Ability to work in a team setting as well as independently
    • Proficient with MS Office Suite and computer data processing with an emphasis on Excel.
    • Some mechanical/technical understanding of medium duty vehicles such as buses and vans preferred
    • Experience with truck, bus, or automotive dealership service writing, understanding of how a service department functions is helpful
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Professional demeanor and cooperative attitude.
    • Highly organized.
    • Ability to take direction and maintain a positive attitude.
    • Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.
    • Good writing and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to collect data, defines problems, interpret technical instructions and reach reasonable conclusions for warrantable repairs.
    • Knowledge of warranty regulations and industry best practices (preferred).

    • Work will be performed in an office setting.
    • May be required to sit in long intervals and climb stairs
    • Must have good manual dexterity
