Client Services Director directs and oversees the implementation operations of an organization. Oversees a team responsible for installing and deploying technical systems, software, hardware, or solutions. Being an Client Services Director implements policies and creates procedures to ensure consistency and high-quality work. Ensures that the timelines, planning, scoping, and cost estimates support successful projects that meet the needs of the client organization. Additionally, Client Services Director tracks implementation timeliness and client issues and develops solutions to implementation problems or challenges. Develops team skills and expertise with coaching and training activities. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of technical specialty. Typically reports to senior management. The Client Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Client Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.   • ChildNet Youth and Family Services, Inc. is currently recruiting for a Client Support Services Worker for our Behavioral Health Services program located in Long Beach, CA.

    Behavioral Health Services (BHS) provides comprehensive mental health services, including individual and group therapy for at-risk children and their families. The Client Support Services Worker (CSSW) will be assigned high-risk youth and work within the community by coordinating services needed to meet the needs of assigned clients and their families. The nature of our business requires this position to be out in the community. Work hours may start and end at various intervals throughout the day. The position requirements may include a work schedule not consistent with 8 straight scheduled hours of working time. If a business-related call comes in when you are between work functions or between intervals of working time, an attempt should be made to return the call within 30 minutes.

    The Client Support Services Worker responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Coordinate and provide services to children and adolescents under the supervision of the Wraparound/IFCCS Director, or his/her designee. This will frequently involve one-to-one interaction with a specific client for extended periods.
    • Provide in-home behavior management training to caregivers, as needed.
    • Actively participate in the Child and Family Team (CFT) to develop a treatment plan for each client.
    • Attend and participate in CFT, ICC, IEP and other client-related meetings as part of the treatment implementation team.
    • Work with the client’s mental health practitioner and/or treatment team to ensure participation in the client’s treatment and to make referrals to appropriate community agencies based on assessments and treatment team recommendations.
    • Prepare verbal reports regarding client’s participation and progress in the program; make written documentation of same in the electronic record.
    • Maintain contact notes and DMH billing documentation for each individual client.
    • Attend DCFS/DMH meetings, provider meetings, and other community events as a representative of the agency.
    • Complete DMH intensive trainings, as needed.
    • Identify, report, and respond to extreme behavior, such as verbal aggression, biting, hitting, kicking, throwing items (e.g., food, objects, and/or bodily fluids), self-inflicted injuries, property damage, substance abuse, etc.,) in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations and ChildNet policies and procedures.
    • Attend mandatory in-service and facility/department meetings as required.
    • Perform any other duties as assigned.

    The Client Support Services Worker (CSSW) shall possess:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a social science-related field (e.g. social work or social welfare, marriage & family therapy, child psychology, child development, counseling psychology or social psychology, etc.), and at least six (6) months of experience working with emotionally disturbed children in institutional settings; OR
    • Associate’s degree in a social science-related field and at least one (1) year of experience working with emotionally disturbed children in institutional or residential settings.
    • The educational requirements may be waived for CSSWs with at least two (2) years of experience working with emotionally disturbed children or children who have a serious behavioral problem, and who demonstrate a combination of education, skills, and experience that meets the specific cultural and linguistic needs of the target population.
    • Must be a team player with the ability to cooperatively collaborate with colleagues in the organization.
    • High level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
    • Bilingual proficiency in speaking, reading, writing and understanding Spanish is a plus, but not required.

    All offers of employment with ChildNet Youth and Family Services, Inc. are contingent upon a post-offer, pre-hire medical clearance with an occupational physical, tuberculosis screening, and a negative drug test. A background clearance which consists of fingerprinting through the Dept. of Justice/FBI/Child Abuse Index Search is required. Underwriting requirements of this agency include keeping a valid California driver’s license, valid auto liability insurance on file, and maintaining a good driving record while employed.
