    Opportunity: 

    We are seeking a Client Success Manager & Strategist (CSM) to build relationships with entrepreneurs and small business owners who are members of our Equitable Entrepreneurial Ecosystem (E3) by working with the members to review their business plans and growth needs, offer strategies and guidance to address challenges, and connect members to the appropriate resources. The CSM will also lead the development of the referral network, establish partnerships with service providers, and assist in identifying expansion opportunities for existing businesses within our network.


    The ideal candidate will be familiar with the business landscape in Delaware and understand the challenges facing emerging and established businesses and nonprofits poised for growth. They will possess a strategic mindset, facilitate conversations, and collaborate with business owners to create plans to maximize membership benefits. Through this role, the CSM will establish themselves as a leader in entrepreneurial development. 


    Core Duties Include: 

    • Recruit, onboard, and support small business owners and entrepreneurs within our E3 membership network.
    • Provide resource information through various communications, including emails and newsletters.
    • Assist members in understanding, navigating, and maximizing their benefits. 
    • Support members by creating wrap-around service plans and connecting them with appropriate resources to achieve their goals.
    • Track billing, payments, and renewal dates of members. 
    • Capture and analyze data to determine the effectiveness of the membership tiers and implement improvements to the benefits packages alongside the team.
    • Possess and demonstrate a customer service mindset to build relationships with members.
    • Perform other project duties as assigned. 


    Preferred Requirements: 

    • Bachelor’s degree or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Sales and marketing experience. 
    • Strong time management, process management, and organizational skills.
    • Innovative, creative thinker who is strategic, collaborative, and consultative. 
    • General understanding of business development procedures and operational needs.
    • Comprehensive understanding of project management principles and ability to apply them effectively in real-world scenarios.
    • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment. 
    • Self-sufficiency in problem-solving.
    • Capacity for autonomous work with ability to meet deadlines. 
    • Knowledge of membership cultivation and retention strategies. 
    • Previous experience using CRM and sales platforms such as HubSpot. 


    Schedule & Compensation

    This is a full time position based in Wilmington, DE, with the ability to work remotely 2 days per week pending approval. The CSM will report directly to the Executive Director while working closely with the Program Manager. 


    Compensation includes a base salary plus commission on all E3 membership renewals and closed deals, for a 40-hour workweek, Monday-Friday. Occasional evening and weekend availability is required.
