Job Overview: As a Networking Technician, you will play a critical role in leading networking projects, installing and maintaining network infrastructure, troubleshooting network issues, and overseeing on-site technicians. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of networks and associated systems, including retail displays, security systems, and electronic components. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage networking projects, including planning, implementation, and documentation.
- Run and terminate Cat5/Cat6 cables in accordance with industry standards.
- Install and configure routers, switches, and other networking equipment.
- Troubleshoot networked devices and systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Install retail displays, proprietary security systems, and electronic components as needed.
- Merchandise products according to specifications and guidelines.
- Oversee Level 1 and Level 2 technicians on-site, providing guidance and support as necessary.
- Perform advanced networking installations as required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of networking technologies, protocols, and best practices.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure seamless integration of network systems.
Requirements:
- Experience in networking or related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in running and terminating Cat5/Cat6 cables.
- Strong knowledge of networking principles and protocols.
- Experience installing and configuring routers, switches, and other networking equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot networked devices and systems effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong leadership abilities with a passion for leading and mentoring others.
- Availability to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
