As a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner, you will be at the forefront of patient care in the intensive care unit. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing direct clinical services for critically ill adult patients with multi-system failure.
• Conducting physical exams, collecting and documenting data, and performing approved diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Formulating and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Assessing patients for changes in status and initiating necessary emergency interventions.
• Communicating with families regarding the changing health care needs of their loved ones.
• Participating in quality improvement activities and educational programs for staff and the community.

The ideal ICU Nurse Practitioner will meet the following requirements:

• Active RN License in New Jersey
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an ICU setting as a Nurse Practitioner is strongly preferred.
• BLS Certification
