NTT Data's client is currently seeking a TEMPFIREWALL Specialist to join their team in Irving, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

Job Description: FIREWALL Specialist

Duties include providing support to Client perimeter security infrastructure, comprised by firewall, proxy, remote access and intrusion detection systems; day to day firewall and proxy changes execution from request handling and scheduling to implementation in the production environment based on customer requirements; problem analysis and resolution from non-hardware routine issues to critical failures within established service level targets.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Desired platforms and technical experience:
• Strong knowledge of the two firewall platforms used within Client - Check Point, Palo Alto
• CLI scripting to create rules on both platforms.
• Management on both technologies, rules creation and implementation (hands on)
• Strong knowledge of network routing, switching and wide area networking
• Background on firewall troubleshooting
• Linux/Unix
• Wireshark and know how to read a packet captures
• Hands on experience taking and analyzing captures
• Strong understanding of Enterprise Change, Incident and Problem Management is required.
• Entry-Medium level on Bluecoat Proxy (Broadcom)
• Troubleshoot
• Rule creation (CLI) for Plug, SOCK applications
• Also desired/emphasized are:
• Individual leadership, self-motivated
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• Strong analytical and quantitative capability with attention to detail and ability to work in a demanding and environment
• Produce high quality documentation
• Understanding and adhere to corporate and Information Security and other functional standards and controls
• Exhibiting a high degree of flexibility and ability to multi-task, seeking guidance where necessary
• Strong communication skills, including verbal and written skills
• Ability to work as part of a team with remote colleagues in other countries
• Knowledge of Cybersecurity policies and best practices
• Relevant Certifications: Palo Alto, Checkpoint, CISSP or CCNA/CCNP as a plus. Experience in Splunk.

Education Level Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related fields preferred.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this role is (HOURLY RATE 50.00hr to $55.00hr) . Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position is eligible for company benefits that will depend on the nature of the role offered.
