Clinical Outcomes Director directs in-depth analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees and leads staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a Clinical Outcomes Director creates, defines, and implements performance metrics to review program effectiveness. Evaluates patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, Clinical Outcomes Director identifies opportunities and provides recommendations to improve program delivery, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to senior management. The Clinical Outcomes Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Clinical Outcomes Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     ASCP Laboratory Manager Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop objectives and operational plans for laboratory services aligned with organizational standards
    • Oversee all laboratory personnel management including hiring, training, and performance management
    • Maintain regulated, safe, and compliant laboratory environments adhering to policies and regulations
    • Manage laboratory budgets, financial performance, and supply/inventory controls
    • Implement continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory workflows and services
    • Collaborate across the healthcare system to support growth of outreach/outpatient testing volumes
    • Evaluate and integrate new testing methodologies, instrumentation, and information systems
    • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and adherence to organizational mission/values

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science or related scientific discipline
    • Experience managing high-complexity hospital/clinical laboratories
    • Current certification as Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist
    • Excellent leadership, communication, budgeting and problem-solving abilities
    • Working knowledge of regulations governing laboratory operations (CLIA, CAP, OSHA, etc.)
    • Strong commitment to quality patient care and customer service
