Sun Loan Company is currently looking for reliable, ambitious, and exceptional Collections Loan Specialists to join our dynamic team! Our ideal candidate is a positive, coachable, and dependable team-oriented individual who is driven to provide 5-star customer service in a professional, positive, and friendly manner.
As a Collections Loan Specialist, you will be the face of Sun Loan, interacting daily with our customers both in-person and over the phone. In our small team environment, each person plays an important role in the company's success, supporting customers within the community in problem-solving their financial needs.
Job duties include:
- Assess customer’s loan needs and provide valuable solutions.
- Process new loans and manage communication regarding account status.
- Execute collection calls on overdue accounts.
- Generate new sales leads through marketing and community networking.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Monday - Thursday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.
- Fridays 8:30 am - 6:00 pm.
- Saturdays 8:30 am -12:30 pm (rotational basis related to office needs).
- Some overtime may be required.
- No Sundays!

About Abingdon, Illinois
Abingdon is a city in Knox County, Illinois, United States, 50 miles (80 km) west of Peoria. It is part of the Galesburg Micropolitan Statistical Area. The city was first settled in 1828 and was incorporated in 1857. In 1894, the patent for the common spring-loaded mousetrap was awarded to William Hooker of Abingdon. What does a Collections Assistant do?
Collections Assistant
Support as assigned by the Data Collections Systems Manager any efforts to ensure that the DCS and SPARQ systems are updated in a timely manner to ensure all data and data tables are in synch in both systems with the exact same current, complete, and accurate data.
