This is a full-time remote Collections Supervisor, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing, coordinating, and directing staff and activities related to collections on past due accounts and reconciliation of account discrepancies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field; AND two (2) years of professional collections experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Required Knowledge:
• Principles and practices of employee supervision, including selection, work planning, organization, performance review and evaluation, and employee training.
• Principles and practices of developing teams, motivating employees, and managing in a team environment
• Principles and practices of credit and collections operations and management.
• Practices of reviewing financial documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Computer applications related to the work.
• Financial record keeping and accounting practices and techniques.
• Correct English usage, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary.
Required Skills:
• Planning, organizing, and managing assigned activities.
• Planning, organizing, supervising, reviewing, and evaluating the work of assigned staff.
• Training others in policies and procedures related to the work.
• Developing and implementing goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and work standards.
• Developing effective work teams and motivating individuals to meet goals and objectives and provide customer services in the most cost-effective and efficient manner.
• Interpreting, applying, and explaining corporate policies and procedures.
• Prepare clear and concise reports, correspondence, and other written materials.
• Using initiative and independent judgment within general policy guidelines.
• Using tact, discretion, and prudence in dealing with those contacted in the course of the work.
• Compiling, researching, and reviewing financial figures for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with policies and procedures.
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of the work.
• Organizing work, setting priorities, meeting critical deadlines, and following up on assignments with a minimum of direction.
• Contributing effectively to the accomplishment of team or work unit goals, objectives, and activities.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a remote office setting.
