We are currently seeking a full-time reliable collections agent!

Renton Collections has been in business since 1981 serving the PNW region. We have become one of the largest collection agencies in King County and one of the most competitive in Washington state.

Job description

As a collections representative, you will play a crucial role in managing and recovering outstanding debts for our clients. Your primary responsibilities will include contacting individuals or businesses with overdue accounts, negotiating payment plans, and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding balances.

Job Responsibilities:

• Contact Debtors: Call individuals or businesses with overdue accounts via phone or mail to discuss outstanding balances.
• Negotiate Payment Plans: Work with consumers to establish agreeable payment plans.
• Maintain Records: Accurately document all communications, agreements, and payment arrangements.
• Follow-Up: Monitor and follow up on past due accounts and payment schedules.
• Compliance: Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations related to debt collection to ensure all activities comply with legal requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism.
• Experience: No prior collections experience is required, we offer paid training
• Knowledge: Familiarity with debt collection regulations and procedures.
• Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing accounts and documentation.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in finance or related fields is a plus.

Pay: $38,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
