Commercial Tire Service Manager manages the service staff to effectively meet customer requirements and minimize service related expenses. Assigns jobs within the service center and dispatches road and fleet service according to customer requests or established requirements. Being a Commercial Tire Service Manager makes recommendations for hiring, firing and disciplining of service techs. Trains service technicians and conducts new hire orientation; schedules other training as required. Additionally, Commercial Tire Service Manager ensures that company policies are being followed with regard to safety, DOT and established operating procedures. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 4-6 years experience with extensive knowledge of auto repair and shop management skills, including scheduling, inventory purchasing, expense control and customer service. Typically reports to a store manager. The Commercial Tire Service Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. We are currently seeking a team member who believes they can be an “Advanced” Commercial Tire Sales Writer.
As a Commercial Tire Sales Writer, you work directly with our customers and our tire technicians. This is a high-paced, high-volume position. Those who are quick on their feet and with their mind need to apply. The ability to be able to multi-task is essential. Fluent computer, phone, communication, and organization skills are required.
Medium and Heavy-Duty Tire Knowledge and Experience is REQUIRED. Tire sizes such as but not limited to 11R225, 12R225, 295/75R225, 20.5-25, etc.
The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
· Receiving and dispatching orders for products or services
· Addressing problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions
· Monitor the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize their schedule
· Enter data in computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information
· Evaluate customer needs and make product recommendations
· Generate tire quotes
· Complete tire orders for special products or stock
· Receives inventory into our point-of-sale system
· Field daily business-related phone calls
· Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of products and/or services in order to provide accurate information to customers
· Encompassing an eagerness to supply our customers with the best service they deserve while being a great coworker to our staff
· Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standards
· Perform other duties as assigned
