The Commodities Manager evaluates market conditions in order to maintain inventory levels and control costs. Develops, implements, and maintains a commodity inventory strategy that supports a company's supply chain. Being a Commodities Manager manages ongoing relationships with suppliers. Evaluates and recommends vendors. In addition, Commodities Manager requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to top management. The Commodities Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Working as a Commodities Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. What We’re Looking For :
We seek a detail-oriented, proactive leader with experience in quality management systems and regulatory compliance, and a passion for food safety.
You excel in fast-paced environments and are motivated by continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage our Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure adherence to regulatory and customer standards (HACCP, BRC)
- Promote and drive continuous improvements in our Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) culture
- Lead inspections and audits to ensure product safety and integrity
- Monitor compliance to guarantee the consistent delivery of safe, high-quality products
- Investigate product issues, handle complaints and recalls, and implement effective solutions
- Ensure compliance with FDA labeling requirements and manage QA audits
- Keep detailed records, track defects, and support process enhancements
- Develop and deliver impactful training programs and build strong relationships with stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications :
- One year of experience in a similar role
