Our goal is to uplift the profession of education across the entire career of educators: from when they first might get interested in middle and high school to those hard early years of running their own classrooms, to the end of their careers when they want to give back and be mentors to a fresh crop of new teachers entering the profession. The office of K-12 Outreach is committed to statewide partnerships that support each of these phases of an educator’s life, the net result of which is a quality education for all of Alaska’s children. Specifically you will be working with, and coordinating across all of K-12 Outreach’s programs; with the EdRising program manager to support the development and implementation of services for highschool students entering UA system educator preparation programs, with the ASMP manager to bridge from educator preparation program to early career development, and with the Director and Assistant Director to coordinate office wide information needs The position includes opportunities to travel to both urban and rural communities across Alaska.
