The Operations Manager oversees and optimizes field operations within Community Services. This position is responsible for leading a team of field staff, including independent contractors, to ensure efficient service delivery, adherence to quality standards, and achievement of program objectives.

This position is full-time with full benefits and starting out between $64,480 - $75,774.70 annually and will work out of the Lompoc area with Countywide travel required.
Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises employees in the Community Services field operations and coordinates the activities of independent contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Knowledge, Skill, and/or Ability Required:
Education and/or Experience Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college with four years related experience or a combination of equivalent education and experience. 2 years of supervisory experience required with 2 years of construction management experience preferred. Must have general knowledge of building principles and carpentry with the ability to understand and apply industry standards and best practices.
Computer Skills To perform this position successfully, an individual must have working knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software, Word Processing software and have a working understanding of specialized database applications.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Current Valid California Driver's License and proof of insurance with the ability to qualify for coverage under the Agency insurance plan. Must be able to obtain relevant Weatherization training certifications within six months of employment. California Contractors license Class B (or C20) and BPI Building Analyst certification are highly desirable.
Other Skills and Abilities Ability to read and understand construction blueprints and drawings. The ability to speak Spanish is highly desirable.
Other Qualifications Frequent county-wide travel is required.
