Manager, Compensation
As a Compensation manager on the compensation strategy team, you will perform a key role in supporting our pay programs and market intelligence. In this role you will participate in the development and implementation of compensation programs across the enterprise.
With direction from your manager, you will lead job evaluations, conduct market and internal compensation analyses, and manage our market data reporting, analytics, and administration. In addition, you will participate in cross company projects as needed.

As a member of Fidelity’s compensation team, you will work with – and learn from – the best professionals in the industry as you help support our compensation philosophy and programs.
The Compensation function works in a cross-functional way with enterprise and BU aligned team members all working toward supporting Fidelity’s compensation philosophy. Compensation team members are part of the broader Human Resources organization, consisting of associates who work in Line HR, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning & Development, HR Operations, Communications, Finance and Workforce Analytics. We are key business partners to these colleagues and work with them to develop and implement those teams to deploy and support BU specific and central compensation programs and initiatives.
The Expertise And Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3-5 years of related work experience
- Keen interest in compensation and strong analytical skills
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with interest in learning new tools
- You have a high degree of accuracy and are solution oriented
- Ability to work across a large organization and implement quickly against multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to listen and respond to information effectively and to give and receive feedback
- Program/project management skills
The Value You Deliver
- Market Data Management: Manages our market data reporting and analytics. Leader of our Market Pay tool and market data management across the compensation function including composite reviews, data submission and data integrity reviews. Partners directly with external vendors to manage data transfer processes and procurement efforts.
- Pay Program Support: Conducts competitive analysis and/or data trend analytics, special surveys, internal equity analyses, etc. Supports broad pay program initiatives and data reviews as needed.
- Job Evaluations: Leads our cross-enterprise job evaluation process, conducts interviews with HR and Managers, reviews roles in accordance with our leveling framework and communicates results in collaboration with our BU compensation partners.
- Projects/Initiatives: With direction, participates in special projects, as required. Attends and/or delivers internal and external training programs (compensation related, business related, systems applications, survey forums, etc.) Participates in cross-functional committees.

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
