Compensation Supervisor supervises a team working on compensation plans and programs and related analysis. Oversees common compensation projects, including survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure development, incentive plan design, pay program administration and other associated initiatives. Being a Compensation Supervisor ensures that compensation plans and programs are consistent with organizational policies and all applicable federal and state laws. Maintains salary structures and company compensation policies. Additionally, Compensation Supervisor is responsible for survey participation and compensation analysis. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification. Typically reports to a manager. The Compensation Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Compensation Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. We have a full time Work Compensation Specialist position open. We’re looking for an energetic, self-motivated individual that has a strong work ethic. GENERAL SUMMARY:
· Processes all new incoming referrals for patients who have had an “on the job injury” in a timely manner.
· Provides new patients with essential information regarding their visit, such as preparation guidelines, directions to the office and any necessary forms.
· Gathers all medical records pertaining to the date of injury.
· Obtains pre-authorization and pre-certifications from insurance companies.
· Processes all out going referrals.
· Communicates timely with our Physicians and patients regarding treatment plans.
· Schedules patients in electronic medical records (EMR) system, NEXTGEN
· Understands Oregon Work Comp rules and regulations.
· Creates cases, prepares 827’s.
· Works closely with the billing department regarding claims denials, litigation, and final denials

QUALIFICATIONS:
· Have a minimum of two years recent medical office experience.
· Prior scheduling experience in a medical office setting.
· Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
· Have knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality protocols.
· Strong organizational skills and able to complete work in a timely manner.
· Familiarity with medical terminology.
· Ability to receive instructions.
· Have outstanding interpersonal skills.
· Have strong computer skills.
· Ability to multi-task.
· Knowledge of Oregon Worker's Compensation rules would be helpful.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Requires the effective use of office equipment including but not limited to computers, phones, copy machines, printers, and fax machines.
· Ability to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods of time.
· Ability to communicate via telephone.
· Ability to communicate in an active office environment.
· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
