Position: Compliance Assistant

As a Compliance Assistant at High Point Federal Credit Union, you will contribute to maintaining compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies, ensuring the highest standards of integrity and accountability. This role is ideal for detail-oriented individuals looking to leverage their skills in underwriting, insurance, or other related fields in a growing financial environment.

• Support the preparation of audits and compliance with deposit and loan account regulations.
• Conduct next-day reviews of account activity and assist with regulatory reporting.
• Investigate potential fraud or data misuse, thoroughly document actions taken, and contribute to fraud prevention initiatives.
• Provide professional and courteous resolution of inquiries related to compliance.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance activities.
• Provide backup support for BSA and Compliance Specialist responsibilities.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Enhanced analytical skills.
• Experience in record-keeping, document management, or similar
• Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures effectively
• Proficiency in using software tools for data review and reporting.
• An Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred but not required.

Location / Schedule:

• Core schedule: Monday through Friday, 38 hours per week, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
• Hybrid flexibility: Remote work one day per week after training.
• Location is based in Olean, NY

The expected pay range for this position is $15.00-$22.00/ hour. This salary range only reflects base wages and does not include benefits or other types of compensation. Salary bands are purposefully wide ranging to encompass the different factors considered in determining where a candidate falls in the range, including but not limited to, seniority, performance, experience, education, and any other legitimate, non-discriminatory factor permitted by law.
