In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our clients meet all state and federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. As the subject matter expert, you will be the trusted advisor for our clients, guiding them through safety and compliance matters with the goal of minimizing risks and ensuring regulatory adherence.
Your ability to provide exceptional customer service while navigating complex regulatory requirements will be key to your success in this position. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with at least 3 years of experience in transportation safety to make a significant impact on our client's safety operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance Management: Ensure clients consistently adhere to state and federal DOT regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS) rules, vehicle inspections, and maintenance requirements.
Client Consultation & Support: Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding all safety compliance matters, offering expert guidance and personalized solutions.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Review and analyze client data, reports, and safety records to identify potential areas of improvement, and provide actionable recommendations for compliance and safety enhancement.
Training & Education: Assist in conducting safety training sessions and provide resources to clients, ensuring they stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry best practices.
Customer Service Excellence: Build strong relationships with clients, fostering a culture of trust and ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and urgency.
Documentation & Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records of safety compliance activities and ensure all documentation is up to date and compliant with regulatory standards.
Customer Management System: Input new and update existing client information into our CRM
Client Development: Call and set up appointments to visit current clients and potential prospects.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in the transportation safety and compliance industry.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (higher education or certifications in safety or transportation compliance is a plus).
Bilingual: Fluent in both English and Spanish is **required** for this role.
Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and document management software.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data and reports to assess compliance and safety risks, and propose clear, effective solutions.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex regulations in an understandable and professional manner.
Self-Motivated: Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a high level of organizational efficiency.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.
Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information with professionalism.
Additional Knowledge (Preferred):
- In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS) rules and other transportation safety compliance standards.
- Previous experience in a safety compliance role within the transportation industry is highly preferred.
