Construction Foreman directly supervises workers' day-to-day work on construction or installation projects. Coordinates subcontractor scheduling and the delivery and placement of on-site materials and equipment as required to execute each project phase. Being a Construction Foreman monitors productivity and work quality to meet schedules and standards. Troubleshoots any issues involving workers, contractors, safety, quality, changes, or processes and expedites solutions. Additionally, Construction Foreman completes or tracks daily time and labor reports. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Construction Foreman supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Construction Foreman typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Compensation
The starting wage for this role will be between $92,000 and $114,000 per year to commensurate with experience. Our daily Lodging Allowance begins at $550 per week.
Job Responsibilities
Manage daily operations at job site, to include:
o Supervision of crew (5-8 employees) along with subcontractors
o Lead daily job briefings and safety meetings
o Understand and work in accordance with the overall project schedule
o Oversee earthwork (access road, crane pad, final grading of site, etc.)
o Ensure proper setup, safe operation, and inspection of equipment such as Forklift, Crane, Excavator, etc.
o Proficient with basic survey equipment for bridge and site layout
o Assembly, operation, and recordkeeping (tonnage) associated with piledriving
