Position Summary :

The Construction Supervisor is responsible for everything that happens and fails to happen within the pre-construction, construction, and splicing phases of overall projects related to new builds, renewals, and specialty projects.

This position will be heavily involved with interfacing with various municipalities and will be required to attend pre-construction meetings to identify any potential new or existing plant conflicts and coordinate with Municipality, HOAs for assigned construction work.

Responsibilities :

Supervise the pre-construction and construction phases of new and renewal projects - deliver on time, on budget, and within quality and safety standards.

Resolve OSP roadblocks.

Supervise third-party pre-construction and construction vendors and suppliers.

Supervise construction crews.

Participate in project meetings and effectively support the overall project effort.

Supervise and meet pre-construction and construction schedules, intervals, and due dates.

Perform weekly status calls to each jurisdiction to check the progress of the permits.

Inspect and assure construction work quality and crew safety.

Supervise, document, and record construction field changes.

Verify supplier invoices match the work performed in the field and ensure that all contractual specifications are met.

Supervise warehouse operations which includes deliveries, shipments, and requisitions with vendors and contractors.

Job Requirements :

Must be able to manage multiple aggressive RFPs and design construction schedules and responses.

Must be able to understand and read construction documents.

Familiar with all facets of construction management including quoting, construction, and on-time delivery.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must

Ensure that all projects follow sound, industry standards and locally required construction practices and support the strategic goals of the company.

Associate Degree (AA) or equivalent from two years of college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and / or training.

Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems

Back-office enterprise network technologies are preferable

5 years of telecommunication construction

Qualifications :

3-5 years of Telecommunications Construction experience or equivalent Telecommunications experience.
