    GENERAL SUMMARY
    (What is done and why)

    The Commercial Lending Operations Specialist will assist the Commercial Lending Operations area with the appropriate post-closing review and maintenance of Commercial Loans in order to identify and remediate any issues in a timely manner: mitigating operations and documentation risk: and assuring organized and complete retention of Commercial Loan documentation.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, IN PRIORITY ORDER
    (Majority of duties, but not meant to be all inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned as necessary)

    • Review all incoming closing packages and documents for accuracy, scrub and scan all closing documents to be uploaded into core system. Work directly with Credit Union members, internal partners and external vendors to obtain missing documentation and correct outstanding issues/errors. Time: 25%
    • Perform Loan Boarding to core system and process all loan funding. Maintain departmental tracking and GL balancing for all loan funding processes. Time: 20%
    • Monitor property tax tracking reports; notifying Lenders of delinquent taxes and follow up with processing of any new tracking submissions. Track commercial insurance and notify lenders of cancellation notices. Time: 10%
    • Maintain documentation and collateral exception tracking report and forward monthly to commercial staff. Process UCC continuations and post-close searches. Scan all closing documents for electronic retention as well as maintaining physical hard file retention. Time 10%
    • Responsible for handling Commercial Loan research requests; including but not limited to: fee waiver/refund processing, reversing loan payments, and performing all Loan Servicing Maintenance as required. Time: 15%
    • Responsible for handling various post-closing tasks including but not limited to: monitoring paid loan reports for collateral releases and discharges. Setup any post-closing ticklers in core system for collateral performance or documentation; assigning to the correct parties for resolution. Time 15%
    • As assigned by your manager, actively participate in Departmental Projects and keep internal procedures updated. Time 5%

    EDUCATION (Minimum education required to perform the duties of this position)

    • High school diploma required


    EXPERIENCE
    (Minimum experience required to perform the duties of this position)

    In addition to the education requirement:

    • Two years of experience in commercial lending processing and lending.
    • Two years of experience with a Core Operating system preferred.

    Work involves standing and walking for brief periods of time, but most work is done from a seated position. There is potential for eyestrain from reading detailed printouts and computer screens. Work may include occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds such as files, documents and computer printouts.

    (Typical working conditions associated with this type of work and environmental hazards, if any, that may be encountered in performing the duties of this position)

    Internal Work is normally performed in climate-controlled office environment, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is very limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of normal office equipment (computers, telephones, etc). No known environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of duties. Length of day is unpredictable; long hours may be required to accommodate deadlines or special meetings.
