We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Representative in Farmington, CT.
Position Summary and Special Duties:
As a (an) Quality Assurance Representative your day-to-day duties will consist of and may not be limited to:
Summary
The QAR is responsible for verifying the product quality of our machines and evaluating the supplier’s delivery quality. The QAR can demand and coordinate additional activities to ensure fulfillment of the TQS. Additionally, the QAR authorizes the product delivery from the production unit to the process or end customer.
Responsibilities
- QC or QA experience works, need Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), blueprints, measuring (digital calipers)
- Needs to have the physical ability for this work, will be moving throughout the production building, asked to get in and around large machines, etc.
- Will need to be able to be quick - they are a very fast paced production environment.

- Investigate and address quality issues: root cause, corrective and preventive actions
- Coordinate material disposition of non-comforming products: rework, replacement, acceptance under deviations etc.
- Perform inspections of materials in accordance to drawings and standards
- Daily interfacing with internal departments and suppliers
- Perform Final Inspections of finished machines
- Implement and further improve measures regarding quality assurance
- Systematically follow-up on quality problems to ensure verification of effectiveness (internally and with suppliers)
- Responsible to escalate issues if no adequate or effective measures are initiated
- Would like person to have manufacturing experience.
Minimum two years’ experience in quality control in the parts/components manufacturing field. Ability to read and interpret drawings, detailed knowledge of GD&T. Experience with measuring equipment and detailed knowledge of inspection techniques. Good interpersonal skills, attention to details, organizational skills in fast paced environment and ability to use a computer and standard software packages (MS Office) required. Must be able to effectively work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
Education
Two-year technical degree or a suitable combination of education and work experience required.
DETAILS:
Duration: Long term 1–2-year contract, but this role will go permanent most likely 8-12 months.

Salary: Depending on Experience
