Responsibilities:
Supervise Chief Engineers (Full-Service Hotels) / Maintenance Managers (Select Service Hotels) who report to the General Manager
Oversee the Transcendent program, including training, monitoring, and support.
Provide technical expertise and assistance to Engineers as needed.
Review and support Capital Improvements and Repairs to building mechanical systems in collaboration with General Managers and Corporate Capital Projects team
Demonstrate expertise in hotel mechanical systems such as refrigeration, fire alarms, plumbing, etc.…
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
10 years of experience in hotel maintenance/engineering
Total experience of 20 years in the field
Technical expertise in maintenance/engineering
Knowledge of hotel mechanical systems and equipment
High school diploma required; college courses preferred (will account for on-the job experience equivalent to a 4 year degree)
Trade and/or Certifications are a plus but not mandatory
Ability to travel often within the States and occasional trips to Canada for meetings
Valid Driver’s License Required
Prior supervisory experience required
Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time and work under variable conditions
Heavy Work – Exerting over 50 lbs. of force/weight
Must have the ability to bend, twist, stretch
