Corporate Giving Director identifies and assesses the causes and organizations that align with the company's values and goals and implements strategic plans to support them. Establishes and maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations and community leaders to ensure effective collaboration and support of giving initiatives. Being a Corporate Giving Director manages the budget for charitable giving, evaluates grant proposals, and monitors the impact of the company's charitable contributions. Develops employee volunteer programs to engage employees, offer participation to wider audience, and raise awareness about the organization's charitable initiatives. Additionally, Corporate Giving Director maintains current knowledge of best practices in corporate giving and philanthropy. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Giving Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Corporate Giving Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. The Director of Compliance will be required to assist and guide the Compliance Officers/Monitors and the District/Regional Residential Community Manager in the coordination, general administration, monitoring of the Section 42 compliance work for apartment properties involved in the LIHTC Program Section 42 of the IRS code. Knowledge, Abilities and Other Qualities The ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a variety of practical situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may occasionally call for minor deviations. Computer literacy and proficiency in programs like MS Excel spreadsheets and Word documents The ability to think rationally beyond a specific set of instructions. The capability to work at a fast pace and with multiple tasks, perform duties while under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner, interact/communicate with other site employees, residents, visitors, and the public in a professional and pleasant manner. Legible penmanship and accurate typing skills The ability to correctly deal with lease documents, fill out paperwork, and keep accurate records. The ability to work with figures. The ability to compute rental amounts, prorates, discounts, percentages, and basic math computations. The capability to operate fax/copy machine, telephone, calculator, and computer. Must have good communication skills and the ability to successfully interact with all types of people and have a professional phone manner. Self-motivation to set and accomplish goals personally and for the company required. Experience Training and Education High school diploma or equivalency Required Prior Section 42 experience and HUD experience and other state agency program experience preferred.
