Position Title: Psychologist
Work Location: Stratton Center 2501 Holiday Road, Coralville, Iowa
Shift: Variable, non-fixed work schedule; evening group work required and weekends as needed to perform duties
Status: Permanent, full-time
Pay Rate: $2,215.20 - $3,436.80 bi-weekly
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Prepares sex offender specific reports, such as psychosexual evaluations, screenings and Sex Offender Registry Modification Reports. Will also complete pretrial assessments for use by the Court. Supervision of clients who have been charged and/or convicted of sexually-based offenses. Johnson County utilizes seamless supervision approach; therefore, the this position will have clients who are in a residential facility. Other duties will include facilitation of treatment groups, attending and providing input during unit case staffing meetings and federal clinical review and treatment planning.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum qualifications require graduation from Master's degree program in psychology, counseling or social work at an accredited college or university and the equivalent of two years of full time post-Master's degree work experience as a psychologist, counselor or social worker; OR graduation from an approved Doctorate degree program in psychology, counseling or social work OR 12 months of full time experience as a Psychologist 1. Must meet the requirements to complete a psychosexual assessment in the State of Iowa, per Iowa Administrative Code 201, Chapter 38.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured under the district’s auto policy.
Flexible work schedule (which may include early morning, evening and weekend hours) as required to meet the needs of the client & agency.
SOTP1 or II certification through the Iowa Board for the Iowa Board for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers or the capacity to gain that certification within 2 years.
It is required that the candidate meet the minimum requirements to complete a psychosexual assessment in the State of Iowa, per Iowa Administrative Code201, Chapter 38.
Licensed as a psychologist, LMHC, LMSW/LSW or equivalent preferred.
