Job Summary
Under general supervision, safely operates commercial vehicles in loading and unloading crane equipment from trailers, as well as assisting in the setup of the crane once it is on site.
The operator will be responsible for performing pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the safe operation as well as perform routine vehicle inspections in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
Operators may be required to work long hours and be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The cranes in the fleet range in size from a 23-ton boom truck to a 900-ton Liebherr model LTM 1750 - 9.1.

Education, Training, and Experience
Completion of ninth grade required. High school diploma or GED preferred. Must be at least 18 years old with two years of verifiable recent experience driving a Class A commercial vehicle, possesses a current Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL), an acceptable moving violations record, and a current Department of Transportation (DOT) medical card.
Experience in crane operations with current licensures from the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) and applicable state licensing.
Experience with Grove, Link Belt, and Liebherr cranes preferred. Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience, which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform in the position may be considered.
