Position Summary:
The Associate Commercial Relationship Manager (ACRM) plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing relationships with business clients within the credit union. They collaborate with business owners, analyze financial needs, and provide tailored solutions to support their growth and financial well- being. The ACRM will work closely with both the Commercial Relationship Manager and the Commercial Credit Department during the lending and annual review process and often times act as a main point of contact.
The ACRM will also be responsible for building relationships within the local communities to help promote CCFCU and to help identify lending & deposit opportunities. They will also work directly with business members and is the main point of contact for their relationship at CCFCU.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Member Relationship Management:-
Cultivate strong relationships with business clients, understanding their unique needs and goals.

Regularly engage with business members and prospects to assess their financial requirements and identify opportunities for additional services.

Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and requests.

Act as a liaison between the business and with Member Services throughout the account opening process.

Serve as a subject matter expert for documentation requirements of the business that are needed for account opening.
Financial Analysis and Solutions:-
Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and business performance metrics to assess creditworthiness.

Recommend appropriate credit products, including loans, lines of credit, and business credit cards.

Collaborate with other departments (such as lending, cash management services, and commercial banking) to deliver comprehensive financial solutions.
Business Development:-
Actively participate in business development efforts by identifying potential members and networking within the community.

Attend industry events, trade shows, and business association meetings to promote credit union services.

Assist in developing marketing strategies to attract new business clients.

Represents the credit union internally and/or externally at financial and organizational functions which may occur after hours and on weekends.
Loan Origination and Credit Analysis:-
Originate business loan applications, ensuring compliance with credit union policies and regulatory guidelines.

Work with the Credit Department and with the Commercial Relationship Manager to evaluate loan requests, assess risk, and recommend appropriate terms and conditions.

Collaborate with credit analysts to complete due diligence and documentation.
Risk Management and Compliance:-
Monitor existing business loans and credit lines to identify potential risks.

Ensure compliance with credit union policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.

Report any irregularities or concerns to management promptly.
Expand and retain relationships:-
Profile new and existing commercial clients to ensure we are attracting deposits, credit, and other products.

Refer clients to specialists for investment, insurance, and wealth management services as applicable.
Performance Expectations:-
As part of this role, the employee is expected to meet established minimum performance goals, which have been designed to ensure that each team member contributes effectively to the overall success of the organization.

Performance will be assessed on a regular basis to ensure that these goals are met, and support will be provided to assist employees as necessary.

Employees who do not meet performance expectations may be subject to further evaluation, additional training, or other corrective actions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Thorough knowledge of Credit Union Business Lending Policies and can discuss the various loan alternatives with the member as well as all credit union programs.

Deep understanding of how a credit union functions, and the value it brings to its members and community. This includes understanding of what a Cooperative is, as that is the business models of all credit unions.

Possess thorough knowledge of Credit Union Business Lending Policies, Procedures and Products.

Must be able to interpret business financial statements and create spreadsheets in Excel.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and generate grammatically correct written reports, letters, memorandums, etc.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to establish working relationships and interact effectively with a wide range of individuals, members, and vendors.

Confidentiality:
Employees are required to maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive Cornerstone CFCU, member, employee, and proprietary information both during and after their employment. If an employee has a question about the confidentiality of a particular matter, they should consult with their Manager/Supervisor or Human Resources. Any violation of this rule may subject the employee to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Qualification Standards:

Associates degree or higher, preferred.

2-5 years of financial services experience. Credit Union (preferred) or Bank.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including word and excel.

NMLS licensed a plus.

Bondable upon initial employment and continue to be bondable throughout term of employment.
Physical Requirements:
The functions of the position usually performed sitting but may require some amount of time standing. Some amount of stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, lifting, walking, carrying and other movements may be required. Tasks involving working on a computer keyboard, typewriter, calculator, cutting, labeling, and taping involve extensive wrist and hand movements. All individuals are required to be able to perform these movements without significant risk of injury to themselves or others.
