Summary of Primary Functions
Responsible for daily management of card services operations to ensure operational compliance, sales and efficiency. Partner with appropriate teams to enhance the servicing model and ensure that the right tools and training are in place to deliver high quality member service. Keep abreast of card payment systems, recommend changes to improve card usage and member service. Keep a strong pulse on changing member preferences and industry trends to identify opportunities to develop new products or enhance existing products, pricing, promotion, and benefits of existing products and services. Coordinates and implements new features and technologies to further enhance the debit and credit card programs.
Position Requirements
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree and/or completion of a CU management program or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of Card Services Management experience, preferably with a credit union or financial institution. Strong management, leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills to effectively develop, challenge, and motivate staff. A superior level of member service skills, be a positive role model for staff, and demonstrate a high level of commitment to the organizational goals. Must possess a strong level of expertise in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
This position is a member of the Management Team and requires a results-oriented leader who works well independently, and in a collaborative environment. Must have strong leadership and team-building skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and proven problem-solving and analytic capabilities in a credit union environment. Responsible for the development, enhancement and implementation of existing and new card products and programs, including features, benefits and pricing, and value proposition to achieve profitable growth.
