As we continue to expand, we are looking for a motivated Assistant Credit Manager to join our team in the Huntington, WV corporate office.

    Position Summary: The Assistant Credit Manager will support the Credit Manager in overseeing the company’s credit policies and procedures, ensuring that customer credit risk is properly evaluated and managed. This role involves working closely with sales departments, customers, and collection teams to ensure timely payments and minimize bad debt losses. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent negotiation skills, and a strong background in credit analysis and risk assessment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in managing and conducting credit investigations and reviews to evaluate customer financial status and creditworthiness.
    • Help develop and implement credit and collection policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to balance sales growth with acceptable credit risk.
    • Monitor and analyze accounts receivable, aging reports, and other financial data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Work with customers to negotiate payment arrangements and resolve billing disputes.
    • Prepare reports and present findings on credit risk and collections performance to management.
    • Stay informed about industry best practices, legal requirements, and trends in credit risk management.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in credit analysis, credit management, or a similar role, preferably in the electrical supply industry or a related field.
    • Strong understanding of financial statements, credit reporting, and risk assessment techniques.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
