The Curriculum Developer II conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Being a Curriculum Developer II develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. In addition, Curriculum Developer II writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness. May collaborate with vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. May coach trainers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Being a Curriculum Developer II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Kwik Trip Inc. Responsible for the development and support of Information Technology solutions to support and enable the growth of Kwik Trip in its primary objective of serving our customers, co-workers, and suppliers.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Analyze, develop specifications, perform system design and innovate, write, test and implement software solutions.
    • Investigates and analyzes assigned end-user requests, assessing current processes and systems, to innovate appropriate software solutions that consistently meet or exceed expectations from the business/customers/end users.
    • Document technical specifications, including user, program, testing, training, and infrastructure while considering the impact of the change to existing functions.
    • Develop solutions that include writing programs that utilize best practice normalized database design, and a well thought out and customer-friendly user interface/experience; all in compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
    • Perform thorough unit, system, and integration testing of changes to be implemented in accordance with departmental testing standards.
    • Creation and maintenance of technical and user documentation in accordance with departmental standards.

     

    Qualifications:

     

    • 2-year degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
    • Knowledge of one or more of the following programming languages: SQL, HTML, JAVASCRIPT, CSS, C#, PHP, Java
    • Knowledge of database and design best-practices
    • Working experience using SQL
    • Knowledge of application architecture and design principles
    •  Knowledge of project management concepts and terminology
    • Knowledge of web concepts and terminology
    • Experience with Git / CICD
    • Knowledge of and ability to use the Microsoft software suite of products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, SharePoint, Project, etc.).
    • Working experience with the following transport protocols and data constructs: REST, FTP.

     

    Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours with occasional evening and weekend work as needed, as well as on call rotation.
