The Curriculum Developer II conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Being a Curriculum Developer II develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. In addition, Curriculum Developer II writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness. May collaborate with vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. May coach trainers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Being a Curriculum Developer II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Summary:

    Yorktown Systems Group is seeking a qualified Subject Matter Expert Curriculum Developer (Leader/Planner) to support the Fire Center of Excellence (FCoE), Directorate of Training and Doctrine (DOTD), Fort Sill, OK, for development of Programs of Instruction (POI) for Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) and Mid-Range Capability Weapon (MRC) training for Field Artillery Officers (13A), Fire Control Specialists (13J), and MLRS crewmembers (13M). Recent Doctrine Organization Training Material Leadership & Education Personnel and Facilities (DOTMLPF) changes introduced by the Army have necessitated a reorganization of training for several Military Occupational Specialists and created a need for revising or creating associated courseware.


    Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:

    • Develop Course Curriculum/POI for a Planner/Leader Course for the 13Z, 13A, and 131A which encompasses both LRHW and MRC capabilities.
    • Develop course curriculum/POI in accordance with the milestone review schedule and in compliance with TRADOC REG 350-70 and associated pamphlets.
    • POIs will be built in accordance with TRADOC Regulations and Pamphlets (TR REGs and PAMs) and entered into the Army database for training development capability (TDC).
    • Review, revise and develop course curricula for MOS 13A, 131A, 13M, and 13J as appropriate to reflect current doctrine, equipment and Individual Training Standards supporting tactics, techniques, and procedures to be reflected in the courseware developed.
    • Ensure courseware, media, and supporting and supplemental student materials comply and are input in the Army TDC database.
    • Incorporate the results of Job Task and Learning Analysis conducted as part of the ADDIE process for all operator and maintainer lessons.
    • For delta training due to Engineering Change Proposals and equipment updates, incorporate in the operator and maintainer lessons any new tasks and associated lessons plans.
    • The curriculum development will include the following TRADOC policy compliant products. Training products must be TDC compliant if applicable.

    • Test items and Test Item Analyses
    • Deliberate Risk Assessment Worksheets (DD Form 2977)

    • Individual Student Assessment Plans (ISAP)
    • Lesson Plans (IAW FCOE FAD-CD attachable lesson plan SOP and TRADOC PAM 350-70-14)
    • Methods and Media
    • Supplemental Student Materials (as required)
    • Assessments (Formative and Summative)
    • Programs of Instruction (POI)
    • Training Support Packages (TSP)
    • Shall not use copyrighted material or non-authoritative websites such as Wikipedia and commercial sites as references during this effort.
    • Shall comply with all DoD and local requirements that establish uniform policies governing smoking in and around Government Owned buildings and vehicles.



    Job Requirements:


    Required Qualifications:

    • Must be a US Citizen.
    • Must possess experience (within last five years) in field artillery and/or appropriate Naval operations and weapons, target acquisition sensors, operations, and employment to support development of the associated courseware.
    • Must possess experience (within the past five years) associated with Army Field Artillery or appropriate Navy Career Fields associated with Tomahawk and AEGIS weapons control systems as they relate to Theater Fires Command/Element, Multi- Domain Task Force, Long Range Fires Battalions, MRC, LRHW and Battlefield Coordination Detachments.
    • Must possess a bachelor’s degree.
    • Possess the skills and ability to develop Army and TRADOC-compliant curriculum.
    • Possess the skills and knowledge of Field Artillery and/or appropriate Naval Weapon Systems and computer-based training simulations and simulators and perform all tasks in this PWS.
    • Be familiar and knowledgeable with the current Task Organization (TO) and Table of Equipment (TE) of the Army Long Range Fires Battalion, Long Range Hypersonic Weapon Battery and Mid-Range Capability Battery and associated doctrine, recent and planned fielded equipment and the employment of the equipment. This equipment includes:
    • Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS)
    • Advanced Electronic Guided Interceptor System (AEGIS) fire control system
    • Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control System (TTWCS)
    • Link-16
    • Must be able to provide proof of Certificate of Completion from any qualified FA MOS or Navy course. Proof of qualifications can be substantiated by any of the combination of the following:
      • DD Form 214
      • Enlisted Records Brief (ERB) Warrant/Officer Records Brief (ORB)
      • Certificates of Completion

    Clearance: Requires a Top-Secret security clearance
