The Curriculum Developer II conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Being a Curriculum Developer II develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. In addition, Curriculum Developer II writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness. May collaborate with vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. May coach trainers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Being a Curriculum Developer II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Department: St. Labre Indian Catholic School
    Reports To: Director of Schools
    FLSA Status: Exempt-10 Month Contract
    Salary Grade: 10C ($73,984-$86,946-$99,882)

    SUMMARY

    Develops and integrates curriculum of entire St. Labre Indian School Educational Association system that supports the educational objectives of the School and meets applicable Diocesan, state and/or board guidelines by performing the following duties.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Indicates the non-essential duties and responsibilities. Nothing in this job description restricts St. Labre's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

    1. Coordinates and directs curriculum among schools and maintains master curriculum catalog for
    each school.
    2. Maintains an updated syllabus for each high school class.
    3. Monitors academic progress of St. Labre students.
    4. Maintains college preparatory curriculum listing with Montana University System.
    5. Interprets provisions of state education requirements and rules and regulations of Office
    of Public Instruction and other applicable accreditation boards pertaining to education standards
    and curriculum.
    6. Advises school administrators of state and federal programs and procedures pertaining to
    education standards and curriculum.
    7. Coordinates with Principals the formative and summative assessments and benchmark
    assessments.
    8. Confers with federal, state, and local school officials to develop curriculum and establish
    guidelines for educational programs.
    9. Works with teaching and administrative staff to review, evaluate, plan and develop curriculum designed to meet needs of students and Diocesan, state and/or other accreditation requirements. Coordinates implementation.
    10. Conducts research into areas such as teaching methods and technique, evaluation
    processes/procedures.
    11. Evaluates teaching techniques by visiting classrooms to observe effectiveness of instructional methods and materials when requested and confers with Principals.
    12. Studies and prepares recommendations on instructional programs, materials, teaching aids, and related equipment and provides teachers with such resources.
    13. Develops and coordinates a unified teacher grading system for all content areas which will be part of the course syllabus.
    14. Assists administrators with developing and conducting in-service training of teaching personnel.
    15. Participates in workshops, committees, and conferences designed to promote intellectual, social,
    and physical welfare of students.
    16. Mentors teachers as requested by Director of Schools or appropriate Principal.
    17. Performs budgeting tasks as assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibilities
    This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Education and/or Experience
    A Master's degree (M.S.) is required but a Doctoral degree (Ed. D.) in Curriculum is preferred; and three to five years related experience and/or training required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    curriculum.
    7. Ability to serve as an appropriate role model for students.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
    Proper Montana Teacher Certification
    Valid Montana drivers license.

    Other Qualifications
    Must be able to work 200-210 contract days, depending on school year.
