Position Summary:
We are seeking an Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Instruction to join our leadership team. The Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Instruction is responsible for the academic excellence of the school. This individual is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the school's curriculum, including all teaching, learning and assessment strategies to ensure academic excellence and student success. The candidate will work closely with the Principal and Assistant Principal of Student Life to align the academic and student needs for Notre Dame High School.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Principal and other school administrators to develop and implement an innovative and challenging curriculum that meets the academic standards and objectives of the school.
• Lead the design, review, and evaluation of instructional programs to ensure alignment with educational goals and student needs.
• Provide guidance and support to teachers in implementing effective teaching strategies, differentiated instruction, and assessment practices.
• Supervise and analyze standardized testing including AP, SAT, ACT, ACRE
• Monitors all teacher lesson plans with Department Chairs.
• Conduct monthly department chair and curriculum council meetings along with Principal.
• Schedule and implement Honor Board reviews.
• Monitor and analyze student achievement data to identify areas for improvement and implement intervention strategies as needed.
• Oversee substitute coordination.
• Coordinate professional development opportunities for teachers to enhance their instructional skills and stay updated on educational best practices.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with parents, students, and community stakeholders to foster a collaborative educational environment.
• Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and evaluation of teaching staff to ensure a high-quality faculty that supports the school's mission and values.
• Stay informed about current trends and research in education to make informed decisions about curriculum updates and instructional practices.
• Complete tasks assigned by the Principal.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Master's degree in Education or a related field (Doctorate preferred)
• Valid Principal certification and administrative license
• Prior experience in curriculum development, instructional leadership, and educational administration.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
