Conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Being a Curriculum Specialist, Sr. consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. Develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Additionally, Curriculum Specialist, Sr. writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness. May collaborate with vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. May coach trainers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in e-learning technologies and custom content development. Extensive instructional design using ADDIE, adult learning theory, and educational technology experience, demonstrating strong consulting and project management skills. Extensive experience both in developing and leading e-learning education programs and other learning initiatives. Demonstrated comfort and ability working with thought leaders and clinical experts having national or international reputations. Established efforts to develop a culture that embraces and leverages a model of life-long learning and advancement. Demonstrated experience in developing and supporting others utilizing cutting-edge technology, instructional design, programming, project management, and leadership abilities.
