Curriculum Specialist, Sr. designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Being a Curriculum Specialist, Sr. consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. Develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Additionally, Curriculum Specialist, Sr. writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness. May collaborate with vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. May coach trainers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Curriculum Specialist, Sr. work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters.     Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Follows established cleaning schedule.*
    • Completes daily dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping of all common areas.*
    • Follows established schedule for "deep cleaning" of resident rooms.*
    • Cleans administrative offices as scheduled.*
    • Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms.*
    • Cleans carpets and mops all floors upon request.*
    • Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents.*
    • Ensures and supports a dignified and caring atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and associates.*
    • Responds promptly and courteously to resident's, families, and visitors requests for assistance.*
    • Speaks to/interacts with residents showing empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect.*
    • Communicates effectively in a language that each resident is capable of understanding.*
    • Maintains a safe and secure working environment free of objects/situations that could cause harm and/or falls to residents, families visitors and associates.*
    • Practices good body mechanics and safe working habits.*
    • Observes and reports safety hazards immediately to supervisor.*
    • Provides assistance to associates when requested or required.*
    • Knows, understands and follows established policy and procedures in emergency situations.*
    • Is considered essential personnel during emergencies and/or inclement weather. Is required to report or remain at community until released by supervisor.*
    • Works as a team player with other associates and management in accomplishing work assignments.*
    • Always demonstrates a positive and respectful attitude about work issues, policies and procedures.*
    • Complies with attendance and call off policy.*
    • Attends and/or participates in trainings, in-service and mandatory meetings.*
    • Wears clean and appropriate dress per established dress code policy.*
    • Refrains from discussing resident issues with families and visitors and refers all inquiries to immediate nursing supervisor.*
    • Knows, understands, and complies with HIPAA regulations.*
    • Provides "hands-on" assistance when requested or needed by nursing staff while working in the community.
    • Participates in leisure activities provided to residents as described in the activity calendar.
    • Serves and assist residents in the dining room at breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
    • Takes on special projects or assignments outside of regular duties willingly.
    • Performs all other reasonable duties as assigned or as requested.

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Education/Experience:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
