Curriculum Specialist, Sr. designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Being a Curriculum Specialist, Sr. consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. Develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Additionally, Curriculum Specialist, Sr. writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness. May collaborate with vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. May coach trainers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Curriculum Specialist, Sr. work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters.     SUMMARY: 
    The Sr. Accounts Receivable Specialist reports to the manager, Credit & AR and is responsible for the oversight of the accounts receivable (AR) cash application function to include reporting, balancing, and dispute management.
     
    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • No direct supervisory responsibilities. This role may mentor and coach junior team members.
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the cash application process.
    • Ensures daily accurate balancing of deposits received, posting of receipts, cash log and general ledger.
    • Provides timely resolution of any unidentified receipts through research, and notify credit team of cash receipt difficulties, unidentified payments, deductions, short pays, etc.
    • Adheres to daily, weekly and month end processes, which may require a change in work schedule.
    • Actively perform functions in bank lockbox deposit and credit card merchant portals.
    • Serve as the backup for Accounts Receivable Reporting and actively participates in reporting cadence at month end.
    • Maintains excellent filing systems (both electronic and paper).
    • Assist with related special projects and ad hoc reporting as required.
    • All other duties as assigned.
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent (such as a GED).
    • Minimum 3-5 years of directly related experience in accounts receivable.
    • Proficient understanding and demonstrated skillset and knowledge in credit and collections, basic accounting principles, financial analysis, aging, sales, and other accounts receivable reports.
    • Demonstrated ability to de-escalate customer interactions to the best possible resolution.
    • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
    • Demonstrate clear and concise communication, maintaining a courteous and tactful demeanor in all instances.
    • Excellent data and quantitative visualization skills with a strong attention to detail
    • Strong sense of ownership, analytical thinker with a curious mindset
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or another replated discipline.
    • Prior experience in a team lead, or senior level account's receivable role.
    • Experience with SAP.
    • Experience within the foodservice industry.
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, typing, reading, talking, and hearing.
    • The ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
    • The ability to successfully complete the pre-employment process.
