Curriculum Specialist, Sr. jobs in Los Angeles, CA

The Education Curriculum Specialist will be responsible for improving and enhancing Preschool Center based curriculum for children in all age groups, and for assessing developmental progress.

• Reviews and modifies existing child development curriculum.
• Reviews and monitors indoor and outdoor environment for safety compliance.
• Works with instructional staff to develop lesson plans.
• Trains staff on curriculum implementation.
• Meets with Education Coordinators and Site Supervisors to monitor implementation.
• Orders special equipment and supplies to support lesson plans and curriculum.
• Integrates activities for Pre-school/school aged children with regular curriculum.
• Monitors the quality of teacher interactions and developmental activities.
• Participates in EPS/ECERS and other evaluation activities.
• Trains and implements Desired Results in the classrooms.
• Articulates curriculum and Desired Results Plus.
• Ensures portfolios are completed and reflect curriculum.

1. BA Degree with Early Childhood Development or related filed.

2. Current and valid California Children’s Center Instructional Permit

3. Minimum of three (3) years experience in a teaching position.

4. Strong English language and communication skills

5. Computer literate.

6. Strong skills in interpersonal relations, communication and organization

7. Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

8. Detail oriented and able to work cooperatively with other program and office staff in order to facilitate work projects

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
