Job Summary: The Senior Project Specialist will serve as a lead member, supporting administration and management with projects which include strategic initiatives, process improvement, financial and operational analysis, and other projects and analyses as assigned. This role is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and maintenance of successful project execution and deliverables. The role supports a manager or director level leader. Many of these projects will require extensive collaboration with the Leadership team, which includes the Information Systems teams, system-wide operational administrators and clinical leaders, Finance, and Shared Services, Training, Marketing/Communications, among other administrative departments. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; MPH, MHA, MBA or other healthcare related Master's degree preferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum 5-7 years of healthcare administrative, Epic Systems electronic medical record and/or clinical experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; demonstrate skill (intermediate to advanced level) use of personal computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications, database management, analysis. Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Organizational skills in priority setting, following through on assigned tasks, and adhering to deadlines. Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with and enhance communication and collaboration with staff, colleagues, administrative personnel in positive and professional manner; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Licensures and Certifications: Clinical certification in Medical Assistant, LVN, or equivalent clinical certification preferred. Project Management certification preferred. Epic system certification
