Description
We are seeking a Data Analyst Intern who will be responsible for analyzing data to provide information for key management decisions.
This position requires a self-driven, motivated individual who is willing to collaborate and work within a team atmosphere. Both full-time and part-time candidates will be considered.
Key Responsibilities

Data Collection: Gathering data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, APIs, and other systems.

Data Cleaning and Preprocessing: Identifying and correcting errors, handling missing data, and preparing data for analysis by organizing, cleaning, and structuring it.

Data Analysis: Using statistical methods and data visualization techniques to interpret and analyze data, identifying trends, patterns, and relationships to extract insights.

Report Generation: Creating reports and presentations to communicate findings and insights to stakeholders, often using tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.

Dashboard Development: Building interactive dashboards to monitor key metrics and KPIs, allowing stakeholders to track performance and make data-driven decisions.

Predictive Modeling: Developing predictive models using machine learning algorithms to forecast future trends or outcomes based on historical data.

Data Mining: Identifying patterns and trends in large datasets using clustering, classification, and association rule mining techniques.

Database Management: Managing databases to ensure data integrity and availability.

Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and trends.
- Other tasks as assigned by manager/supervisor.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Candidates working towards a BS or master’s degree in data-related fields preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using analytical tools to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in programming languages is commonly used in data analysis such as Python, R, SQL, or others.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib or ggplot2 to create visualizations and communicate findings effectively.
- Understanding database systems and querying languages for data retrieval and manipulation.
- Experience working with databases.
- Thoroughness and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting to ensure accuracy and reliability of findings.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, share knowledge, and contribute to achieving team goals.
- Curious with a continuous learning mindset.
- Hardworking and self-drive.
- Able to estimate work requirements and meet goals and deadlines.
- Follow directions as outlined by the manager and ask clarifying questions when needed.
