DEALER deals a variety of games such as poker, craps, blackjack, baccarat, and roulette. Manipulates cards, dice, chips, and gaming devices such as roulette wheels and craps sticks. Being a DEALER handles player transactions, notifies pit supervisor of any irregularities or disputes that may arise during the game. Accepts bets, pays winners and collects from non-winners. Additionally, DEALER may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The DEALER may require 0-1 year of general work experience. DEALER / DEALER TRAINEE
The Dealer is responsible for maintaining control of the assigned table game at all times, ensuring quality customer service and a favorable gaming experience for customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive to this position.)
- Deal assigned table games accurately and in a professional manner according to company policies, procedures and in compliance with gaming regulations.
- Maintain control of the assigned table game at all times.
- Ensure quality customer service and a favorable gaming experience for customers.
- Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and Company policies in an ethical manner and empower and require others to do the same.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including late nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts may change.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma/GED, required
- Must have excellent mathematical skills
- Must be at least 18 Years of age.
- Successfully complete dealer training or have previous casino dealing experience.
- Must possess excellent teamwork, interpersonal, customer service, and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work Weekends and Holidays
- Able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Iowa Racing & Gaming Commission License
