Dean of Law manages administrative functions of the college of law. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Law leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Law requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Law manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Dean of Law typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. We are seeking experienced Law Office Assistants to join our team.
All candidates with high-volume law firm experience will be considered, or candidates with similarly high volume office experience. Preference is given for experience with personal injury cases.
Responsibilities and Skills
-Keep clients updated on the progress of their files
-Scan mail, medical records, and other information to the case management system
- Answer and return client and potential client phone calls, emails, and text messages
- Work well in a team environment to collaboratively complete cases efficiently
- Order and summarize medical bills and records
- Sufficiently notate files with notes as well as follow-up on tasks
- Perform clerical tasks to support attorneys, case managers, and other assistants as needed
-Work well with high volume and pressure
