Dean of Law manages administrative functions of the college of law. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Law leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Law requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Law manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Dean of Law typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Management and Program Technician 1

    Education:   High School diploma or GED.

    Experience: Three (3) years of direct work experience with the use of advanced information technology to develop and/or integrate complex data, to include:  requirements analysis; project management procedures including out year budgeting for programs involving OMN, FMS, OPN, SCN, and RDT&E monies; development of contract schedules, out year planning and POM budgets, compliance planning and program planning.  Must have knowledge of DoD standards and regulations like the FAR, DFAR, OPM requirements, and other business related regulations.

    Safety and Physical Requirements: (have or obtain the following certifications)

    • Occupation Safety Haz-Mat
    • Shipyard Competent Person
    • Aloft/Climbing / Climbing Shipyard Stairs and Ladders
    • Working in Confined Spaces
    • Training and the Ability to Safely Lift and Move Objects of 50 LBS
    • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation

    Security and Work Locations:

    • Work is primarily in San Diego, CA and Norfolk, VA but you may travel for extended periods to other shipyards in the USA and to other Navy ports outside the USA
    • You will work at government facilities.  You must be a US Citizenship eligible for clearance.
    • You must pass a background investigation
    • You must have a valid driver's license

    Other Responsibilities:

    • Work overtime upon management request
    • Maintain and safeguard company equipment and tools
    • Maintain and safeguard inventory
    • Organize and schedule jobs to an on-time completion
    Physical Requirements:
    • Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period of time.
    • Relocates a 12 foot stepladder without assistance.
    • Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts,  catwalks and all types of ladders.
    • Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
    • Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
    • May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
