Position Summary:
The Asst. Deli Manager supports the Deli Manager to ensure that the Deli is clean, stocked, visually appealing, and that our customers receive the best service in the St. Croix valley.
Duties
- Assist in Managing and leading a team of deli staff to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer service
- Develop and implement strategies to increase deli sales and profitability
- Coordinate catering orders and special events
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Train and mentor staff on food preparation techniques and customer service
Experience
- Previous experience in deli management or related roles
- Strong understanding of food handling procedures
- Experience in quick-service fast food or fine dining establishments is a plus
- Culinary background is desirable
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
- Experience in catering operations is advantageous

Essential Job Functions:
This position requires frequent standing as well as walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching, stooping, pulling, fine motor manipulation, climbing (ladders), lifting of up to 50lbs, the ability to work on a point-of-sale system, and move around our store and storage rooms with or without reasonable accommodation.
